Today I have an amazing guest who is no stranger to the spotlight. Tommy Baker is the host of Resist Average Podcast and helps dreamers create the lives they truly desire. He is the author of three bestselling books, and his most recent release, The Leap of Your Life, is about how we can resist average and make bold decisions toward the dreams that scare us.

Tommy Baker

Tommy grew up in two different cultures. His family moved back and forth between Columbia and US. Tommy had a life of solitude because he didn’t know where he fit in. This was a challenge that forced him to ask himself deep questions. Who am I? Why am I here? What am I capable of?

This led him on a path of entrepreneurship and self-discovery that helped him realize what prevented himself and others from living to their full potential. Today, Tommy Baker helps men make decisions into the unknown with faith trust and resilience and find ways to reverse engineer their success from the inside out.

Through his writing, high-performance coaching and Resist Average Academy podcast—he’s helped thousands of people take their next bold step and never look back.

Master the Key: How to Free Your Potential with Mike Flynn


Everyone is talking about finding your “why” or your purpose in life. The idea is that once you know your why, everything else falls into place. But what if you don’t know your why or how to find it? What do you do when you realize you are trapped in a story that you would have never written for yourself? How do you become who you were created to be?

Today we have Mike Flynn back on the show. He is the host of the Impact Entrepreneur podcast and has just released his new book, Master the Key: A Story to Free Your Potential, Find Meaning and Live Life on Purpose.

Mike is going to teach us the 4 elements of ownership, why me must learn to sit in silence with ourselves, and how to find our why. He also reveals the most important key to stepping into our destiny—to believe we are worthy of it.

 

Mike Flynn

Mike Flynn has been advising individuals, as well as executives of companies large and small since 2005. And beginning in 2009, he felt called to do something more, something even greater. Mike commenced that journey in 2015 when he launched a podcast called The Impact Entrepreneur Show. Since then, he has had nearly 200 one-on-one conversations with some of the worlds most elite athletes, thinkers and entrepreneurs in an effort to discover how they are using their personal stories to have a game changing impact in the lives of others.

Battling Cancer as a Dad with Hal Elrod


Hal Elrod is a best selling author, international keynote speaker, ultra-marathon runner, world class success coach, and most importantly, a father. He is a man who made it his life’s mission to reach his true potential. Hal seemed absolutely unstoppable. Then he was diagnosed with cancer.

In this episode, Hal Elrod reveals what it was like to face death head-on, what tools he used to heal himself, and how he and his family got though it.

Hal Elrod

Hal began a promising career in sales when he was nineteen years old. Then he was hit head-on by a drunk driver at 70 miles an hour. His car was spun into oncoming traffic and he was crushed inside. He bled so heavily from his injuries that he was dead for 6 minutes until the rescue crew cut him out of the wreckage. This first major adversity made him wonder if he was meant for something more. He soon became a motivational speaker.

Then, in 2008 the economy crashed, and Hal crashed with it. He lost half his clients and income, which led to him losing his house to the bank. It was 6-month downward spiral. He came to the conclusion that in order to turn his life around, he would have to dedicate time every day to personal development. The only problem was, how make time for it, and how to make that time incredibly productive?

Hal decided he’d have to a wake up an hour earlier. Even though it was hard for him at first, it was the only way. Then he researched and gathered the most powerful personal development strategies in human history and began to practice them. He started meditation, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading, and journaling. He wrote the wildly popular book based on this system. To this day, his life’s work is The Miracle Morning.

By this time, Hal was married with two kids. They had their home in Austin and were living the dream until the toughest year of his life when he was diagnosed with cancer.
