Raising Financially Responsible Kids

Raising Financially Responsible Kids

Money is a generational issue. Most of us weren’t taught it, our parents weren’t taught it, and our grandparents weren’t taught it. Unless we break the pattern, our kids will have the same issues, overspending on credit cards and not investing enough to provide a secure future.

What lessons are you teaching your kids about money?

What about personal accountability, savings, and investing?

How do they see you spend money?

There is a balance between money management and enjoying life. We don’t have to teach a scarcity mindset for our kids to be money smart.

Today we talk to a special guest who tells us his dad’s approach to raising financially responsible kids and how it made him leagues ahead of his peers of the same age.

Optimizing Your Personal Relationship with Money — Exclusive Dad Edge Alliance Q&A with Grant Sabatier

Optimizing Your Personal Relationship with Money — Exclusive Dad Edge Alliance Q&A with Grant Sabatier

Our traditional mindset about money is one of scarcity. We believe we have to sacrifice and deprive ourselves of the things that give us the most joy. We budget the fun out of life. Money problems cause anxiety, depression, divorce, and even suicide. But in this day and age, our relationship with money no longer has to be this way.

Today we have an exclusive 90-minute Dad Edge Alliance Q&A with Monday’s guest, Grant Sabatier. He has just released his book, Financial Freedom: A proven path to all the money you will ever need and is here to transform your perspective about finance and talk about optimizing your personal relationship with money.

All the Money You Will Ever Need with Grant Sabatier

Today is our 200th episode of the main show. Thanks to all our listeners for downloading and leaving reviews! We have a spectacular guest for this milestone.

Finance is one of our most popular topics on The Dad Edge. We go through years of education and training for our careers, but we’re never taught about how to best use the money we make, and sadly, we rarely take active steps to find ways to increase our income.

Grant Sabatier is the founder of MillennialMoney.com and is financially free at the age of thirty-five. He says that the “old school” retirement narrative is obsolete and is with us to talk about his book Financial Freedom: A proven path to all the money you will ever need.
