Why Every Man Needs a Rope Team

Last week on the Good Dad Project, we had Erik Weihenmayer, the first and only blind man to summit Mount Everest. On this week’s Thursday Throwdown, I’d like to expand on his concept of a rope team and why every man needs one.

It seems that, as men, the older we get, the more and more isolated we become. We’ll go it alone as a husband, a father, and a man. We live our lives in quiet desperation. We may even achieve success on our own and find ourselves lonely at the top. That is why every man needs a rope team. We need a group of other men to turn to for advice. We need to be able to share our experiences to help others.
