As Dads, we are pulled in several different directions. We have work, family time, household responsibilities, homework, sporting events with our kids…our list is endless. Is it possible to take just a small amount of time (just 30 minutes) to attend to our own health? For some of us, taking 30 minutes per day would seem like a daunting task or maybe even selfish. Part of being the best versions of ourselves means having the healthiest body and mind possible. With out those two critical components, we can become over stressed, tired, and burnt out.

Josiah Novak

Josiah Novak has been a guest on The Good Project several times. Josiah came from four generations of divorce and abuse. As an adult, he went through a tough time with weight gain and depression. At one point, he was even suicidal. Josiah used fitness to get through living in a dark place.

Josiah didn’t have a father to look up to and it’s his mission is to change the legacy that he comes from and help other people do the same by establishing a foundation of health.

We live in a world where we are drowning in distraction. It seems that everything is fighting for our attention. This causes our minds to become over-stimulated and reactionary.

Jim Kwik

Jim Kwik suffered and accident that left him with brain damage at age five. He couldn’t focus in school and didn’t understand what was being taught. Teachers had to repeat themselves over and over again until he was so ashamed he had to pretend he was learning. He remembers very clearly overhearing his teacher say to another adult, “that’s the boy with the broken brain.”

But Jim didn’t give up.He had difficulty learning to read, but he was inspired by comic books and the concept that one person could make a difference. Like the super heroes in his favorite stories, he was determined to triumph over his adversity. He devoted himself to solving the riddle of how his brain worked and used his experiences to create strategies to dramatically enhance his mental performance.

He has since dedicated his life to helping others unleash their true genius and brainpower to learn anything faster and live a life of greater power, productivity, and purpose.
